If you want good ol' home cooking, this is your place. Reasonably priced. But don't look for extras in drinks or service; once you go through the serving line, it's basically self serve.
Food is always good, this is close as it get to southern style food. Good home cooked meals . Service is good and fast, the facility is always clean.
Really good home cookin'! Fried corn was amazing! The strawberry cake tasted like it came straight out of a grandma's kitchen! Only knock was lack of salt in some of the food. Very clean and employees were very friendly!
The food like always was fresh and hot and everything on my plate and my wife's was delicious, chicken melts in your mouth. Never a wait and drinks stayed topped off even as we were about to walk away. Nice peaceful establishment. It was great especially compared to the morning in the office of chaos.
Went here on a Sunday early afternoon, what a pleasant surprise! Greeted with a line-up of post church goers, the menu was straightforward as it gets. As you move through the line, you pick what you want and pay based on what you picked. Got the chicken finders, which fell right below Publix call to order tenders on top 5 in GA! Sweet potatoes were a fantastic pre-dessert dessert as well, French silk pie at end was exactly what we were looking for. Too much to finish for two people w/ drinks and desert for $30. Staff - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 No thrills, down home classic. Will be back for more!
So yummy. Pot roast was bomb, mashed potato's were great, fried okra was amazing. Everything was great!!
Ate here today around 2 with my wife and daughter. My wife and I had chicken and rice and my daughter has chicken fingers with vegetables. The portions were large and the quality was as excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
I used to eat here a lot but moved away. On a couple trips back to Rome I've stopped by. Same consistent good Southern food. I mostly enjoy a vegetable platter.
New Pickodeli location still has good food, but is a bit overpriced. I generally order for delivery. Decent place for homestyle food. Missed the mark for chicken and dumplings, which I love!
